Jay Golinveaux, DDS, MS

I’ve been practicing as a Pediatric Dentist since 2011 and I’m looking forward to serving San Francisco from my new practice.  I love making children and parents laugh, and I’m dedicated to making your child love going to the dentist!

I was born and raised in Sacramento, and migrated to the Bay Area to attend college at  UC, Berkeley (Go Bears!) I graduated with honors from the University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry here in San Francisco.  At the Dugoni school of Dentistry, I discovered I had a passion and talent for working with children. Following graduation, I underwent extensive training in Pediatric Dentistry at UC San Francisco, and have been in private practice since graduation.

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Pacific, and I’m active in my children’s school community.  I’m the proud father of two boys, Henry and Alex, and I’m married to my wife and fellow pediatric dentist, Megan.

My kids have loved going to Dr. Jay for 5+ years now. He is so great with my kids and does a thorough job answering all of my questions. My son was a little anxious about getting his first x-rays and Dr. Jay was so patient and calming with him and as a result it ended up being no problem. Dr. Jay got us into his office immediately, and did an amazing job calming her. He was able to gently conduct her through the procedure, talking her through each step of the process. To this day, I'm not sure which of the teeth are bonded, since they look so real. I am grateful to Dr. Jay for his attention to detail while recreating her beautiful smile. My kids and I are very happy with Dr. Jay.

I took my almost-2 year old and my 4 year old to Dr. Jay for their teeth cleaning. He gave me helpful recommendations on how to better care for their teeth and is really great with the kids too!

My 3 year old takes longer than usual to warm to a new place (specially at the doctor’s). As soon as we opened the door, he felt right at home. We have visited a different dentist before, but they couldn’t even get for him to open his mouth.

Dr. J was awesome, he was able to do a complete check up and clean his teeth!

I was quite impressed!
