A pediatric dentist is a dental specialist who is well-trained to treat infants, children, adolescents, and children with special needs.

After completing dental school, a pediatric dentist attends an American Dental Association (ADA) accredited, postdoctoral residency, for at least 2 years to continue their education and focus their careers on the treatment of children’s specific dental needs.

The additional training gives a pediatric dentist the expertise to provide specialized care for babies, toddlers, children and teens with unique health and behavioral requirements.  Pediatric dentists are also more experienced in handling emotional and developmental issues that can have an impact on a child’s dental appointment. At Golinveaux Pediatric Dentistry, we have the patience and child focused approach that will make dental visits enjoyable for both you and your child.
